MSFS 2020 airports mods
According to the developers, Flight Simulator 2020 has close to 37,000 carefully and manually edited airports and airstrips from all over the world. More famous airports are recreated by the inch whilst other, lesser-known airstrips are manually-edited but AI-generated locations. However, you can always download a mod to have a more detailed rendition of any particular airport from around the world. Even the smallest or strangest airports are carefully detailed and recreated by mod authors and then published on our site. The best thing about it? They are all free.
Not all airport mods are the same. Some will be made with accordance to real-world details while others are going to be fictional or semi-fictionalized versions of real-world airports. Most modifications for MSFS 2020 are super easy to install and load. Just download the free airport mod from Gamersmods and drag and drop the files into your community folder. Properly launch the game and see how it looks in the game.
If you like mods, help us and the developers by rating them 5 stars or leaving a comment showing your appreciation. Don’t forget to check out other mod categories to improve the gameplay or completely change the way you play MSFS 2020.
A small secluded lake in the mountains of Washington State with a few log cabins around the lake, makes for a challenging landing and a fun take off. Fly up in the mountains for a remote weekend with friends. Highly recommend a fly over before attempting to land.
Solent Airport is situated in Hamphire.
This is a general improvement of the airfield.
Replacement of Auto Generated buildings, partiulary around the control tower area Added Cars/Fences Added Static Aircraft
RAF Machrihanish (EGEC) was a former RAF station located on the West Coast of Scotland.
During the Cold War the base was home to the US Navy and in particular elements of the Naval Special Warfare Group 2.
Many unsubstantiated reports also suggest that during the later part of the Cold War the US military also flew the hypersonic, experimental Aurora aircraft from the base.
In 2012 the base was sold by the UK Ministry of Defence to a local consortium who now run the airfield as a private airfield facility.
Although the scenery enhancement to this airfield should still be considered a work in porogress, I’ve still got plenty to do, I think it’s in a good shape to release it to the community as it currently stands, here’s what I’ve done: Restored the runway back to it’s original length of 10,0003 feet – It was shortened when the airfield transfered to private ownership. Added ILS to runway 29, frequency 111.100 – Although there are no approaches set, you can punch 111.110 into Nav1 when you’re within range and you will get both localiser and glideslope guidance.
Added approach lights to both runway 29 and runway 11. Updated all the taxiways and hardstand areas.
Updated numerous buildings including the large Gaydon hangar to the South West of the base.
Added ATC frequencies for Approach, Tower, Ground and Departures. Added airfield lighting.
Added large aircraft parking facilities.
To select this airfield you’ll need to go to the world map and search for it’s ICAO – EGEC or find it by it’s current name – Cambeltown, I don’t think there is anyway of changing the in sim world map designation from Cambeltown to RAF Machrihanish. If anyone knows of a way then please let me know. If you are using LittleNavMaps to create flightplans then the airfield is showing up as EGEC – RAF Machrihanish. Enjoy this airfield, it’s a great place to start or end a flight when exploring the wonderful Scottish coastline and highlands. If you see the Aurora, be sure to let all the conspiracy theorists know of your discovery. And finally, thanks to Superspud for some questions he answered for me and also thanks to Flying Theston and BenneyBoy444 for their numerous, informative YouTube videos on the subject of scenery enhancement and the SDK.
This is my first scene ! Lot of work still to do, this is a work in progress, the project is at it’s very begining ! In this first version i did some work on the parking and taxiway, i will probably add 3D building once the reste is stable and finish.

The Lanvéoc-Poulmic seaplane base was created in 1920; it was then one of the 37 maritime aviation centers created in France for the surveillance and protection of the coastline.
This is a rework of EGCB Manchester Barton. A few people have mentioned wanting this so I thought why not? It’s nearly Christmas. I haven’t been to Manchester in 15 years or so and don’t fly there but many clearly do. The last time I was there I sat next to Tony Wilson and realised it couldn’t possibly get more Manchestery so departed immediately. This airport was of course a right yawnfest as standard but also had a vicious swarm of taxi signs infesting the joint. I have swatted them all and left one symbolic sign to remember the bad times. Surely getting lost is better than smacking into 50 signs in a row. Most of the buildings have been replaced. New aprons. Some ground markings. More detailing in general. A bit of light has been added as well as it was pitch black all over. Many, many irritating satellite photo burn ins have been covered over with grass and a few trees in inopportune places have been nuked. Maybe they’ll come back, not sure. None of the airport functionality has been touched. It seems like the type of place people would want to do fly ins so if you want a vast bunch of spaces to touch base with your bloods let me know and I’ll add them when time permits. I’m not gonna class this effort as a stone cold classic, the choice of items to play with is limited with a site like this, but it does make it flying out of it more fun than it was before.
This is a scenery for New Garden Airport (N57) in Pennsylvania, near Toughkenamon. This airport is sponsored by JustSeanC. Updates are mostly sceneries : buildings, custom decal on runway…
