Welcome to the Part 2 of Tour de France in VFR! Part 1 ended up in Rouen so it’s time to continue our journey. Starting from Rouen, you will follow the Seine river up to the Normandy coast, visiting Etretat, Le Havre, Trouville, Deauville, the Normandy Beaches where D Day happened, Caen, Bayeux, Carentan, the Cotentin and its Havres, Chausey Islands, Granville, Mont Saint Michel, Cancale, Saint Malo, Saint Brieuc, Lannion, Roscoff, Ouessant, Quimper, Lorient, Belle Ile en Mer, Broceliande, Rennes, Guerande, Saint Nazaire. First draft release, feel free to notify me of any bugs (for sure there are many !). 11 legs for a total flight time of 6 hours. Included is a first batch of POIs released a test : Deauville Normandy Barriere Hotel, Casino, Palais des Congres. Lots of rework to be done in POIs before going further into including new ones!

To compliment the (probably more recognised) older ‘red roof’ livery for LTU, here is the newest version that they made… sadly in the same year that they were taken over by Air Berlin in 2007. Following that, the aircraft were reliveried in Air Berlin paint before the company itself was retired. Based in Dusseldorf, LTU Lufttransport-Unternehmen GmbH was a German leisure airline which operated from 1955 through to 2011. LTU never actually operated the A320 neo – the closest being the Airbus A320-200. However, I am sure we can let them off (the A320neo didn’t come into production until several years after the demise of LTU). Oh… one thing. The ‘LTU’ on the wing tips are mirrored. It is a pain, but it was that or leave it off. I hope you like this one – perhaps now Smeary liveries can get back to producing less staight text and more multi coloured faboulousness.

These textures are for the MSFS2020 Default Savage Cub. It represents the Piper L-4 Grasshopper “Rosie the Rocketer”, piloted by Maj. Charles “Bazooka Charlie” Carpenter, who, disgusted with constantly being unable to do anything about tanks that he found as he was spotting for artillery in Europe during WWII, mounted six bazooka rocket launchers on his little Piper, and was eventually credited with eliminating six enemy tanks and several armored cars, and started a trend among his fellow Grasshopper compatriots. The actual plane he flew made it through WWII, passed through several people’s hands and was recently purchased by the Collings Foundation and has now been fully restored to flying condition. I’ve included a couple of pictures of it from an event I attended recently. There are actually two packages associated with this install. The texture set for Rosie the Rocketer, and a new eye location to raise the head of the view to it’s proper height above the instrument panel. I also added the co-pilot and cargo positions to the Weight & Balance form (to actually remove the co-pilot model, you’ll have to edit the aircraft.cfg file and comment the co-pilot out). Amalfi is a town and comune in the province of Salerno, in the region of Campania, Italy, on the Gulf of Salerno. It lies at the mouth of a deep ravine, at the foot of Monte Cerreto (1315 metres, 4314 feet), surrounded by dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery. The town of Amalfi was the capital of the maritime republic known as the Duchy of Amalfi, an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200. In the 1920s and 1930s, Amalfi was a popular holiday destination for the British upper class and aristocracy. Amalfi is the main town of the coast on which it is located, named Costiera Amalfitana (Amalfi Coast), and is today an important tourist destination together with other towns on the same coast, such as Positano, Ravello and others. Amalfi is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Saint-François aerodrome or Amédée-Huyghues-Despointes aerodrome (AITA code: SFC • ICAO code: TFFC) is an aerodrome located in the town of Saint-François in Guadeloupe. The aerodrome has a hard runway of 584 meters by 18 meters, as well as a hard building that can accommodate a customs post and a flying club. The aerodrome also has an aircraft mechanics workshop. There is no air traffic control facility.

intallation For installation, you just have to unzip the [scenery-aerodrome-saint-francois] file and add it to your community folder.
