BEET HARVEST ADDON V1.0.3.0

The goal of Beet Harvest Addon is to make sugar beet farming a lot more fun, challenging and rewarding!

Sugar beets is a phenomenal crop that can be processed into crystalized sugar. Not only does it provide us with that sweet sugar we can use in so many ways (sweetening, flavoring, fermenting, conservation etc), the process of refining beets into sugar also yields biowaste in the form of beet pulp and molasses. What’s great about these organic bi-products is that they make a super efficient natural animal feed for both dairy/beef cattle, sheep, horses and pigs. A very tasteful fodder that is both nutrient rich and easy to digest, and the animals love it!

And if that wasn’t enough, the beet pulp can be turned into biogas at the BGA, and molasses can be used for pressing hay/straw pellets or fermented into biodiesel. And as “icing on the cake”, the bi-product of turning beet pulp into biogas is liquid organic fertilizer that you can use to improve the next harvest of “the white gold”.

This mod is all about growing sugar beets, especially “The Campaign” (the harvest and processing period), and all the additional possibilities that opens up with the new products added to the game. Instead of simply selling raw unprocessed sugar beets as before, you now get multiple possible revenue streams. You can choose to further refine some of the bi-products or sell them as they are, and for every additional step you invest time in you get increased income in return. You can mix and match this between the harvest seasons or choose to match the current progress/needs of your farm. Or maybe you prefer to use the otherwise slow winter days to refine your products, that’s a great way to get the most out of your time.

All the details of the mod is based on real-life data and should serve a purpose both as educational and entertaining.

PLEASE NOTE: This update is mainly a compatibility update to make BeetHarvest Addon fully compatible with MaizePlus maps and MaizePlus Forage Extension mod.

To enable feeding animals with “supaFeed” feed pellets when using MaizePlus Forage Extension mod you need to either:

A) activate the “MaizePlus Forage Extension – Animal Food Additions” mod (v1.0.0.1 or later which will be released soon), or

B) play on a map that has explicit support for the Feed Pellets from BeetHarvest Addon.

The rest of the mod will work just fine regardless, but you will miss out on one great feature. And the Animal Food Additions-mod is really great anyway so there is really no reason not to use it!

FOR MAP MAKERS: On maps with custom animal food settings for MaizePlus you need to explicitly also add supaFeedPellets and/or beetPulp to be able to feed these to the animals. The animalFoodAdditions.xml included in the “MaizePlus Forage Extension – Animal Food Additions” mod (v1.0.0.1 or later) already has explicit support for supaFeedPellets and beetPulp and can be used in your map.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This mod adds new heightTypes (materials that can be dumped on the ground) and because of limitations in the game this might not work properly on some maps (especially older). If you are unable to dump BeetPulp etc to the ground check the log for the warning “Too many height types”, if so this feature is disabled (however it won’t affect the overall functionality of the mod, you just can’t dump some materials to the ground). It is not recommended to remove any mod that add heightTypes (like Seasons, MaizePlus etc) from an existing savegame.

AnimalFoodAdditions for MaizePlus Forage-Extension.

This mod separates the animalFoodAdditions.xml and thus the Animal Food Settings into a separate Mod for easy adjustment. It also overwrites the settings of the base-mod and the settings within the map.
So you can change the animalFoodAdditions without changing anything on the map, thus using the same food settings across different maps easily. It also has the benefit of not having to upload an entire map when playing multiplayer just for changing Food Settings.
It basically works like a Seasons-GEO.

Also the new animalFoodAdditions-Settings and the new fruits from the latest update of MaizePlus Forage-Extension are already included in this version.

There also is a short description included in this Zip which describes how to change animalFoodAdditions.xml and what each value is for.

MAIZEPLUS V1.5.2.0

MaizePlus is a global extension, that implements Maizesilage and Grasssilage in roundbales and also the bunker-silos.
You can sell and feed the different silage-types too.

It is also possible to create Graingrist and CCM using the MaizePlus_ccmExtension mod.

So you have 4 possible silage-types in the bunker-silos and for feeding:
– Maizesilage
– Grasssilage
– CCM
– and chaff becomes wcs ( whole crop silage )

While there is less than 4000 liters in the bunker-silo, it will automatically switch its fillType to the fruit you are tipping.
As soon as there’s more than 4000 liters in the Silo that fillType is set until you empty the silo again (in case of it being fermented) or when you remove enough to be less than 4000L again.

Due to the restriction of max. 31 heightTypes (more on that below) in vanilla FS you can play MaizePlus on basegame-maps (or maps with basegame-fruits only) with Seasons but only without CCM-Extension.
If you play a map that has more than 31 heightypes enabled you can add MaizePlus_ccmExtension to your savegame and it will activate the CCM functionality.

MaizePlus is a global mod which means it automatically adds itself to everything it needs to, you just need to enable the mod (and CCM-Extension depending on the map/mods you play).

We’ve also made sure that our CCM fruitType is the same as MoreBunkerSilo and the LS-Modcompany CCM mill used, so you can use that CCM mill to create raw ccm.
Due to the similarities in fruitTypes and function we don’t recommend to use MaizePlus and MoreBunkerSilo together on the same savegame in order to prevent mod-conflicts and issues.

A more detailed explanation for the heightTypes and their limit:
The default game/map is limited to 31 heightTypes (fruits that can be tipped on the ground). The basegame is using 23 heightypes. That means that there’s 8 more left to be used by mods without having to change the heightype-limit in the map.
Our MaizePlus itself adds 4 new heightTypes, CCM-Extension adds another 2.
That means that it is possible to play MaizePlus with CCM-Extension on a modmap that has max. 2 additional fruitTypes, or 4 additional fruitTypes if you don’t use CCM-Extension, provided you don’t use any other mods that add additionnal fruitTypes.
Of course if you play other mods that also add fruitTypes you need to calculate these in aswell. (For example Seasons adds 3 new heightTypes which means that in order to play MaizePlus with Seasons you can’t activate CCM-Extension, otherwise it would be 32 heightTypes)
Sadly this limit isn’t something that can be changed globally, but has to be done by editing the map. But there is going to be updates with more heightTypes to a few well known maps soon.

(It is also recommended to make a copy of Maize V 1.4.1 before updating so you can go back to the old version together with the savegame-backup in case something doesn’t work, since there is no way to get a older version of a mod through modhub)
We also recommend to play MaizePlus and Extensions on maps with at least 64 Heighttypes.

A Hud to display the productions that need attention

Developed for the NF march, but is compatible with all Global Company productions.
The mod shows in an overlay the productions in a list that …
– have no raw materials and therefore stand still
– which run empty within the next 72 hours (adjustable) and have less than 75% fill level.
This list is sorted according to the remaining term. The empty productions are sorted first and then in ascending order based on the remaining time.
For the remaining term, productions that have been switched off by the user or that are fully are not taken into account.
If a raw material is not required for an activated production line, it is also not displayed.
The first 10 (adjustable) from the sorted list are displayed.

Also shows the sales possibilities, where goods from the productions or from the silos can be sold at the best prices.
But only if the sales price trigger is installed and activated.
In addition, at least 100k liters (adjustable) must be available for sale in a warehouse or production facility and the price set in the sales price trigger must be exceeded.

Via the settings dialog (standard LShift + LCTRL + P), the productions can be ignored individually for goods deliveries and goods sales.

Requires:
– Global Company.

Optional:
– Sales price trigger, if you want to display the sales prices as well.

Explanation of the settings that are not yet possible via the in-game menu:

– true = Positions the display below the display of the Vehicle Inspector Mod
– false = fixed position

– only minNeededAmount can be adapted here to the quantity from which the production should be displayed.

These are 2 objects, where the diesel stock of vehicles can be filled. The objects can be found in the category pallets at the machine dealer. If they are empty, they disappear automatically.
The canister can also be placed by hand on cargo beds of trailers and vehicles and fixed by means of a tension belt. So a transport of the diesel is possible, while the large barrels can not be raised.
